mythreesons
Son #3 bought a 92XJ as his Olds Cierra just wasn't fitting his needs. I spent some time driving it Saturday and more today. I gotta say, I LIKE the 4.0HO and the AW-4 in that thing. I stuck my foot in it from 65 mph, at 80 it was still accelerating like it wanted lift-off speed and the tach was about 2500 which is a long way from redlining. Son #2 said that when he drove it, it was always dropping down a gear coming out of a corner turn. Sure enough it just seems to want to git-up-and-go. (I might adjust the kickdown cable a tad just because it seems a little touchy.) We've had a 2.5 with AX-4, renix 4.0 with AW-4 and the whatever-it-is4.0 with whatever auto tranny in the 2002 WJ. None of them accelerate like this one. Sometimes attitude is nice. :D
DJM/78
Thats cool , what gears does it have in it ? Is it two wheel or four wheel drive ?
mythreesons
I don't know what gearing it has. It is 4WD. We are working on the list, slowly. This morning, before it got stupid hot, I fixed the used to work now don't turn signals. Turns out the PO forgot to put the hazard relay back in and the hazards got turned on so the turn signals quit. Makes sense, right? Yes, I'm scratching my head at some things. People are funny.
88pioneer
its most likely got 3.55's in it, and :agree: my old XJ was like a rocket ship
mythreesons
Chris, I am snickering because that is more than true. This XJ has power seats.........that the bases are broken and wired together with heavy coat hangers. They rock a little when you step into the gas!
