manimal
I am removing the factory flares on my '88 MJ and have broken a few of the studs. Are they the same as the XJ? I mean the entire flare. I can always weld studs back on,but I think I want to get some white flares and make it more color coordinated. Thanks -Lance
Eagle
The fronts are the same. The rears are entirely different, and the backing plates likewise are different.
comanche09
:agree: ALL of my fender flare nuts were seized, braking off the stud with them. I was able to carefull drill what was left of them them out using a drill press and replaced the hardware with nuts, lockwashers and bolts. I suggest using galvanized or stainless steel hardware.
Unglar
During CFC I got lucky and found a pristine '96 XJ in the yard. I was able to remove all the nuts on the front without breaking any. I think the hardware changed in '97.
