trailer harness, towing etc.

i tow welders and torches at work all the time but my fleet truck is out of commission and i'm already working on a hitch for the comanche. my question is, with my small pintle hook trailers, i never need a harness or break lights, but I'm gonna have to tow my weekend toys with the manche' aka boat etc and need the trailer harness and lights for the highway and through town.

 

I know the harnesses can be had relatively cheap, but cannot find a good diy on how you guys have made one for the comanche, I know its not like the cherokee plug and play.

 

any easy way to do this?

In addition to Akula69's fine writeup, if your boat trailer has surge brakes, you'll need to convert the flat four to a flat five, and connect the connector blue to the truck brown w/white tracer. This disables the surge brakes when backing up.
