bigalpha Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 1989, 5 spd. The parking brake is pushed all the way to the floor and the parking brake release lever cable is broken. I tried to push the metal tab in manually but it won't release the brake. Is there a linkage inside the assy that gets stuck?
bigalpha Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 Figured it out - assy wasn't connected to parking cables and none of the springs are intact. Have to 'release' the brake and pull the pedal up simultaneously.
