pitbull4x4
I am getting a nother Comanche. It will need front springs and want to know if the 4.0L springs are the same size as the 2.5 and 2.8 springs? It has a 2.5 or 2.8 in it.
WahooSteeler
The simple answer is no. If you put 4.0 springs in it, especially if it has a 2.5, you'll get some lift. W/the 2.hate, I'm not sure because I don't know the weight of that engine compared to a 4.0. Obviously the 4.0 is heavier, just how much? Technically, IIRC, the springs are fairly close in height but it's the spring rate that makes the difference, i.e. the 4.0 springs are designed to carry that engine's weight, so if in a truck that came with a 2.5, they'll compress a lot less since the 2.5 weighs less. Geonovast
I put 4.0 springs on my 2.5 and it lifted the front about 1.5"
