Oizarod115 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 :huh???: I have in my possession an unknown year internal slaw ax15 from a yj that was behind a 4.2. I intend on putting this behind a 97 4.0L and was wondering if anyone knows how I can determine up front what pilot bushig will fit or tell me what the measurements are so I can check it with a micrometer. Thanks all, Nick
Geonovast Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 If you have a micrometer... why not just check the tip of the input shaft on your trans?

JeepcoMJ Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 1/2", is what the 87-90 are. 91+ should be .750 or 3/4"

JeepcoMJ Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 yep yep...I just put a 93 trans into a 90, so I had to make a pilot that measured 3/4" ID, with the proper 1 and 1/16" OD. the OD is bigger in 91, I think.
