PlumCrazy
There is an orange vacuum hose that goes from the fresh air/re-circulate door actuator (just above the passenger's foot that routes through the front of and into the heater box). Where does it go on the heater/ac panel? I fixed the other hoses on the panel, but don't see a place where this goes. Where does the O2 timer mount? Ya know, the one that is suppose to be change when the O2 sensor is changed. The good-for-almost-nothing Haynes said that it's mounted to the right of the steering column, but I don't see any place to mount it. Does anyone have a really good wiring diagram that list all the wires (not just some like the Haynes  )...I found several where the radio (I can account for those) mounts and four or five more (some cut) under the dash around the steering column that I can't identify. I think the PO removed a few things that were in the way and just cut the plug, but I don't know for sure. Wayne S
whowey
Its called the maintence timer, and it is mounted to the right of the column if you are sitting in the driver seat. It mounts to the dashboard frame, and the wiring and plug for it are pretty short, they won't go very far past the place its supposed to mount. I believe the orange hose attaches to the top of the round multiple vaccuum line connector. It's been a while since I had to hook one up. If you can find a copy of the factory electrical troubleshooting book, it will have exactly what you are looking for.
PlumCrazy
I'm looking for a FSM...the Haynes really are worthless except for jack pads. I'll look again in the morning, but it looked like all the spaces were taken by other hoses and the head unit from an 89 had different colors, so it was no help either. whowey
The Cherokee(the mid-size one, not that oversized pig your used to :brows: ) FSM is the same for everything from the dashboard to the headlights. The main differences right here are the body harnesses.
