annoying rattle

I have been getting an annoying rattle and have secured everything under the truck. But the donut gasket flange bolts turn in their holes with hardly any effort. Should they do this? Or should they be tight? :dunno:

If you are talking about the exhaust donut, the bolts should be tight, otherwise you will end up with a rattle and an exhaust leak.

Thank you. I figured they should be tight. I don't have a leak yet but it is starting to rattle.

If everything is tight and you still get a rattle, your cat converter could be shot inside allowing peices of the converter element to bouce around insaide the case. If all else is tight, tap on the converter with a rubber mallet and see if it rattles inside. Good Luck!
