wilderness_guide Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I have a 1991 Comanche with a NP231 case and a AX15 trans. My question is, will a NP231 case out of a 2005 Wrangler will bolt up to my trans?
wilderness_guide Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 4 liter I have a 1991 Comanche with a NP231 case and a AX15 trans. My question is, will a NP231 case out of a 2005 Wrangler will bolt up to my trans?
Pete M Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 then it should bolt up fine. They should both be 23 spline.
wilderness_guide Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 the plug in the case looks different. On mine it sticks up higher and has wires. then it should bolt up fine. They should both be 23 spline.
wilderness_guide Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 The speed plug. It looks like its 3 inches long and its chrome.
Pete M Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Can you get a photo of the 05 speedometer hookup? If the 05s work like the older ones, you should be able use the parts from yours.
wilderness_guide Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 Yes it looks the same as mine its just the speedo thing thats longer.
Pete M Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 a lot of the parts are swappable. I had to swap speedo gear shafts when I put the 242 into my 90.
