Gr8plainsDriftr
Is this right? I was looking on Ebay, for an ax-15, and one of the vendors had one without the bell housing. Listed for 90-up wrangler, and 88 up toyota. is this right? or could i get some clarification
Eagle
The AX-15 is (was) made by Aisin-Seiki in Japan, and I believe it was also used in some Toyotas. Whether or not the Jeep version and Toyota version are 100% interchangeable I don't have a clue.
WBKrazy
not 100% sure, but didnt some 3.9 dakotas have the ax-15 as well? the bellhousing would definitely be different, and maybe the gear ratios as well...

Gr8plainsDriftr
wow thanks comanche09! good find. My Brother in law has a toyota 5 speed here, but its from a 80s pick up... looks like it has the short shaft, maybe an up grade on down the road... as id have to have the parts from an ax-15 to hook up to my h.o., then it seems you can twin stick it as well, idk i just took a quick skim over the thread, but it is book marked
