Need answer quick! windshield wiper motor, what years compat

what years are they compatible? I want to get the newest one that I can find at the junk yard.

You should be good at least 87-90, but 84-90 may be the same.

what about the 90+? quick research online says a lot of places only list one motor? like crown automotive parts.

I believe the motor itself is the same, but the plug was changed in 91.

 

I don't know if the plug itself is removable/swappable, but I suppose it's possible.

ok well I will open up an older cowl and check it with the newest one that I can find in the yard.

well I pulled the motor out of an 87, just the motor because the arm structure was broken. then I looked around and found a 99 Cherokee and looked at the windshield Assembly and saw that the only obvious difference was the plug so I cut a length of wire off after the plug and will wire it in.

I also scored an air box top because the PO put in a sweet sub pump i mean a sweet cone filter. and got a slightly damaged 99 header panel assembly. the slightly damaged for 75 bucks was a much better deal then the newer undamaged on for 300 bucks.
