resetting the new post notification?

i was inactive for a month or 3 and now EVERYTHING is highlighted as a new post and i can't possibly read them all, how can i reset it so no posts are highlited as new and just restart?

it also happens when i delete my cookies, all the sudden it's like EVERYTHIGN is new to me, so all posts are highlighted as new

On the index page, in the upper right corner, there's a little like that says Mark Forums Read. Click on that, and everything will be considered read.

 

I do it every time I leave, so I know what's new when I get back.
