EmJay89 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have an '89 Comanche 4x4 4.0L 5 speed, how can i tell what tranny i got? Is it a Peugeot, i havent heard such good things about them.
Geonovast Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Having an 89, you could have either a Peugoet BA 10/5, or an Aisin-Warner AX-15. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11699 read that thread and you should be able to tell for sure.

redneck23ms Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 an easy way to tell if its the puke goat is to crawl under the truck and look at it. if there is a seam in the tranny at the bottom running front to back where the 2 side halfs of the tranny bolt together then its the pukegoat. if there isn't a seam lengthwise then its an ax15
