P.S., I want the plow set-up, but I can't bring any more trucks home. I may have actually found a buyer for my driveway art.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind having the plow set up either, but: I've heard that XJs are terrible for plowing...and I assume that MJ's are even worse because they are fairly light in the rear. I suppose you could put a whole bunch of stuff in the rear if you wanted..?

I've plowed the past 2 years with a '88 MJ and never had a problem, in fact on some light pushes, 2-3 inches of snow, I can push it in 2 wd, forgot to lock in the shifter  A friend bought a XJ and then found this MJ, I switched the plow on to his XJ and he used it one year, not bad results, then I bought the plow back from him and put it back on my MJ and used it.

The MJ is much better for plowing, because you can see where your backing up, I can turn around in a driveway with it, can't wait to get the thing up and running again this winter.

I'm only wanting it to do a couple of driveways, and the small resturant parking lot next to my house. So it isn't like I'm doing a commercial thing. I used to plow with a B-II, it worked very well. But Ford's factory installed rust finally did it in.

Like Wildman posted. Being smaller and nimble makes it alot eaiser to get around than fullsize trucks. Never under estimate a Jeep. I have a friend who uses my old 85 XJ as a utilty tractor on his hobby farm now. He loves it. No more having to wear a hooded sweatshirt when spreading manure.

BTW, there was another 6.5ft plow equipped XJ on the Bay at the same time. But it was out NY way.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, so I grew up not only in a Jeep but in a Jeep with a plow. First a 77 CJ-5 and then an 87 Comanche. The Comanche did ok for being so light in the rear and A/T tires. I kinda miss staying up for 2-3 days straight plowing snow, it was alot of fun. 8)
