mvusse Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Well, went to install new driver side axle, ABS axle I took off a 93 Grand Cherokee. Turns out ABS axles do not fit on 89 and older hubs as the ABS sensor ring interferes with the hub. Is it possible to press the ABS ring off the axle? If it is, would I probably still foobar the axle trying to do so? And why are the 90 and newer hubs $100 when the 89 and older are only $70?
mjeff87 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 they press on, so it's logical that you could press them off. But I wouldn't get too fancy about it.....just drill a hole and split them with a cold chisel ;)
