dukes
Hi all, forgive my MJ ignorance, I've been strictly a CJ guy up until Thursday, when I found a deal I couldn't pass up... Anyway, I picked up a 92 MJ, 4.0L, 5 speed, with a D35, and the long bed if that matters. It needs a rear driveshaft and yoke....are these unique to MJ or can I find one from an XJ with the same drivetrain? I belive the cap to cap dimension is around 62". Thanks much!
Pete M
MJ driveshafts are about a foot longer than XJs. But the Dana 35 Yoke should be swappable throughout any year Jeep that was unlucky enough to get that awful axle. As to driveshafts, you can get your re-tubed if the ends are in good shape. Oh, and welcome! :wavey: Be sure to check out rule #2: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1239
dukes
The part about apologizing or the part about not being lazy and using the SEARCH function? ;) Can't retube it....bought a front wheel drive MJ with no rear driveshaft....
Tomahawked
Then go grab a Cherokee rear driveshaft from boneyard and get the tube changed to correct length.
