Help w/ strange noise

This is actually on my 94XJ, but since it is the same engine (4.0) as the MJ so I figured it would go in tech.

Anyway, Sometimes when I press the throttle it makes a noise almost like when an electric antenna is going down. I'm thinking possibly a relay or something?

You mean like a buzzing sound???

 

If that's the case, check your air box for a plugged filter, and the air tubes, a buzzing sound leads to it trying to suck air into the intake.
