dirtlord420 Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 first off i only hear it when i hit the gas. also it sounds like its coming from the head. its kinda of a fast rattle. it only has 103,xxx mi. am thinking maybe bad gas or vavle? doesnt sound like a rod knock. any ideas? 88 Beast Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 kinda sounds like a tap. how hard is it to adj. those? If your engine is 4.0, I believe they are not adjustable. Rocker arm is torqued to spec. on stud and thats it. You might have a lifter that is bleeding off causing taping noise. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
