mjeff87
Whatever it's called.....does anyone need one? It's that piece of sheetmetal under the rear of the bed that's rounded out in the center for the spare tire. I'm gonna fab up Pat's old rear bumper on my rig this weekend, and I'll have to loose mine to get the bumper to fit up. If anyone needs it, I'll take some care in cutting it out ;) and I can mail it out. Otherwise, it's gonna meet a horrible death via the sawzall  or cutoff wheel. Lemme know if anyone wants it...... Jeff

mjeff87
I have to chop that piece out, plus notch out under the taillights. I'll have to figure out some way to seal up under the lights so they are somewhat weatherproofed....I've got some leftover 22 gauge from when I had to patch the floorboard on my Escort I might just pop-rivet in there. I also have to drill out and retap 4 of the bumper mount bolts that snapped off @$%*!#
pingpong
I never did that to my lights, and had zero issues
mjeff87
Drilled out the rivets and pulled the pan thingy last night, but still didn't get enough space, so the rest of the panel is coming out tonight via the sawzall. And I either have to notch out a space under the lights, or nip about 5/8" off either side of the bumper to make it fit inside of them. Think I'm gonna go the latter route.....I think it'll look and function better tucked in flush. Oh, and I gotta loose the spare tire cable jack thingy too..... :D Jeff
Bounty Hunter
I pulled that center section too, and had to notch up both ends of the roll pan for the bumper brackets to slide all the way in. I've since cut a section from a LWB rollpan (they're flat) to rivet in place of the curved section removed from my SWB. Not that important, but it'll cover the gaping hole. mjeff87
I cut it ALL out, plus had to trim the rear of the framerails a tad. Special bonus was the noxious green/blue smoke that came off while cutting :D Jeff Image Not Found
