Hello, first post. I recently bought a 91 shortbed, 4cyl, 5speed, Dana 35. I was switching tires on the rear and found the right rear tire haS been rubbing on the frame, so I took some measurements and the right rear is only about 1" away from the frame and left rear is about 2" away from frame, tire size is P235/75/15 on stock rims, any ideas, is this normal???

Check al your spings, shackles and bushings. Post back if everything is good.

It has 190,000 miles on it, the bushing are cracked but they are still intact, springs and shackles don't appear bent. :dunno:

Are you sure the wheels are the same??

Pull the rear tires/wheels and measure from WMS to frame on both sides. (Put a straight edge across the WMS pointing straight up. Then measure from it to the frame.)

Also inspect carefully to see that the spring perches on the axle are actually centered on the springs. If the centering pins got rusty enough, they could have sheared off and allowed the axle to shift sideways.
