broythomas
Is there any difference in the length of the front driveshafts in cherokees and comanches? I turned my 2wd into a 4wd with a 3 inch lift. It has a 4.0, ax-15, and an nv242. I needed a rear driveshaft from an automatic since the 242 is one inch longer than the 231 and the auto is one inch longer than the ax-15. My front driveshaft is the right size, but I can't remember what it came from, and it is worn out and needs replacing. Can I get one from any 4.0 jeep? GaruMJ
I replaced mine with one FDS of a cherokee but both are AW4 4.0L autos with 231.( the mj and the xj).
mvusse
With the slip joint in the drive shaft and 3" lift, even if there are different lengths, I don't think it makes enough of a difference to matter.
JOMJ87
Just make sure the length and ends are the same. Any should work if the are Double cardon or CV depending on your setup and the length is right. Cole
FxRacing282
sometimes you can get double double Cardon shafts. a bit pricey but very smooth operation and much longer lasting
