MJ300
To get the doors off i can see that you need to take off two brackets (one on top and one on bottom) and instead of taking off all of the torx bolts, i could hammer out the pin thats holding the bracket to the door. I gave it a little tap earlier today and it didn't seem like it wanted to budge at all. So do you think if I sprayed some penetrating oil on it or something and just pound the heck outta it :brows: could I get it loose?
JeepcoMJ
nope, not enough room to swing a hammer, and an air hammer will fubar it pretty good. best either take the bolts off, OR cut the bottom ear off the bracket and pull up on the door. JOMJ87
Those things don't beat out to good. Maybe drillin them but its a tight spot. I cut the bottom part of the hinge off and worked the doors off like that then drilled them out and replaced the hinge pins. I was making mine removable so i didnt car to cut that off. Sir Sam
You need to take out the bolts to remove the door. Later you could then make them into quick disconnects.
