comanche13
do i need to take the bench seat out? what about my mini console around the shifter?
BLHTAZ
If you want to take the complete carpet out, yes, you will have to remove the seat and console as well as the plasstic trim pieces on the rocker panel (bottom of the door). If you want to do a quick check just in the foot area you can just remove the rocker trim and pull the carpet back to see under it there.
pingpong
A sharp knife works well too.. then take it down and have the interior sprayed with a bed liner
skibumps
I don't know exactly how to remove the carpet, however if you need to remove moisture I know a good trick. Get some silicone crystal cat litter and put that down on the carpet for a day or so. After that just sweep up the crystals and vacuum what you can't sweep up. The more you put down and the longer you leave it the better it will work. It will draw water out of most anything. When your done you simply put the cat litter in the oven and it will cook off the moisture so you can use it again. I have done this after my windshield had developed a mystery leak and the truck was getting funky. I also used it in my basement.
