getting key code to have new keys cut from the VIN

is it possible? I'm going to check and see if my buddy has the keys to my jeep on his key ring tomm since the column in his truck is out of my 91 i had. if not i need a last resort b4 i buy a new set.

new lock cylinders for those old columns and cheap and easy, just go that route.

For a '91...it may still be possible. If you need to try, PM me the last 9 digits of your VIN and I will see if it can still be found. Even though I have been unemployed from Chrysler for almost 3 months now...my access name & password still work on the websites ;)

It is up to the dealer to shut your SID off. If you had most of the certification at that parts dept, it would hurt their 5 star to do it. Or their just to dumb to realize they need to do it. But WE sure are glad either way!

I think they laid off the guy that was in charge if that right about the same time I got laid off so no one else seems to be aware of it. I still have access to Dealer Connect and Star Parts for now :yes: . I can't get on Dealer Central anymore though...
