aemsee
The Edgar Winter Group ?? Aye, one of my favorite groups back in the day mate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxnb1syj3p0 You may remember this one better. Good therapy back then in the bad old days. 8) Thanks for the links hornbrod. Brings back memories of cheap wine, good w33d and scantily clad country girls looking to expand their horizons. I DID enjoy the 70's. (Must say that I like Johhny's sound better though.) So, that water receding yet?
HOrnbrod
Yeah, the rain quit a little after midnight and it's draining out quickly. The pier is setting on the bottom again and still solid, although there is a slight port list to it. :D

1990 Pioneer 4x4
We here in the NW are also experiencing major flooding. Interstate 5 (that connects Canada to Mexico) has been closed in two different places. There are towns here in Pierce County that has called for evacuation of its residents, as substantial portions of the towns are underwater. I think there is something like 22 rivers (in Washington) that are expected to crest its banks tonight. Its not all that rare of an occurrence for those in the NW, but it always makes big news. I’ll try to get out and get some photos tomorrow to post.
HOrnbrod
Yes, we all see all the weather damage inflicted on different parts of the country on the news every day. But when It affects you personally on your own property, it all comes home. Luckily most all turned out well in my case, all I've got is a lot of cleanup including a couple of trees that came down. Took a drive around the county today fording some roads, and saw that a lot of my neighbors were not so lucky. We had almost 12" of rain in 30 hours; very rare here. But it's still better than a tornado; those things are common here and scare the crap out of me.
1990 Pioneer 4x4
Glad you didn't suffer any property damage. We're up rather high on a cliff's edge, so as long there isn't any land slides we have nothing to worry about.
