Replacing 2 piece front axle shaft?

I am going to replace the 2 piece shaft on my '88 and other than the shaft itself all I will need is a new inner seal correct? Anyone done this? I guess that both sides would use the same seal too? TIA.

Question. What is the reason for putting the outer seal back in/ replace it when doing this swap?

Thanks for the links. I can see no reason to put the outer seal in. The one piece axle diameter is quite a bit smaller than the sealing area on the old shaft so, it won't do anything.
