I would like to replace the door windows on my -89 Comanche and put in the larger 97+windows and i also want to have manual windows.

Is it possible to do that swap?

2 97+ doors cost 700$ here so thats not an option.

I have thought about this swap but I can not confirm if the 97+ glass will fit in the 96 down sheetmetal, the inner & outer weatherstrip & glass channel are what would be in question.

It's possible, but time-consuming to set up. You need to grind out the vent window 'bridge'. I had a set of 'new' doors I compared bolt hole locations to, and had some spacers made to achieve the correct depth of the various attachments. You'll also need the 'newer' trim pieces as well as the front glass channel (which is cut out of the 'new' doors). I also haven't hung an interior on mine yet so there may be even more problems I haven't encountered yet. But, I have ran the windows up and down.
