MrSimon
I am going to do a driveway paint job on my MJ. I'm not looking for it to be perfect, just half way decent. I'm gonna sand the whole thing down before painting. I don't want to sand the whole truck more than twice. What two levels of grit would you guys recommend I use? pingpong
It depends on the shape of your current paint job, and how different the color you are going to use. If I was going the same color, or close to it, I would just scuff the paint, using a 240 or 260 grit. Making sure to blow it down and wipe it before sparing any of it. If you are doing a drastic color change like blue to white.. well then I would definately use a primer, and scuff the primer with a 600 grit. garmj
I am doing a driveway paint job on mine and I am using 220 grit on a DA and going over that with a fine scuff pad, I use the scuff pad to get the edges and tight areas where you can't get the sandpaper to go.[/img]
