Mitch
get through boot camp and AIT first. You won't be able to afford or have any time to work on one - and when they station you in Korea or worse for the first year having an MJ won't do you any good. So basically wait until your first duty station before buying one. And while your doing all that good training, save up your money.
Eagle
I have two advertised in the Classifieds right now, and a third that I could be persuaded to part company with for sufficient infusions of legal tender. Where are you located? (Send me a PM if you don't want to "go public.")
Pete M
Don't overlook getting a 2wd. They are essentially the same body/suspension as a 4wd and then you won't waste any money paying for parts you won't be using anyways (meaning that if you're building it up, you likely won't want to use the axles that come with most MJs).
