CA drop bracket install??

I'm pretty sure I saw a post about installing XJ control arm drop brackets on an MJ. Tried searching, but I couldn't find anything. Anyone got a link to the thread?

What brand?

 

Rubicon Express one's you can only use the drop bracket, as the supports will not work on the MJ.

And the original, Trail Master, also cannot use braces on the MJ.

 

However, for all of them, the MJ LCA frame pockets are already reinforced, so you don't really need the optional brackets. And if you ever saw those frame gussets by themselves (I bought a set when I thought I was going to build a dedicated XJ trail beast), they are BEEFY.

 

Just remove the control arms, bolt in the drop brackets, and reinstall the control arms. Done. Have a(nother) beer.

Forgot to mention, I've got the Rough Country Set....Well, I took my lazy keester outside this morning, and crawled under the truck. I now see why the braces won't work. Had I actually gone out and looked yesterday, I would have answered my own question :roll: Doh...Wish I could use the braces though. I think they look kinda cool...Oh well....Thanks guys!
