mjtjnj
Got the new engine/trans in this weekend. Have to drill holes/fab a mount for the new clutch master cylinder and finish buttoning things up. Should be ready for a first start soon. One question on the radiator. I got a good aluminum replacement radiator from a local shop, who deemed my old rad finished. The stock rad was bolted down from the top on the two flanges, and had a rod running from the center bottom to the front fascia for a little extra support. This rad bolts right in on top, but is touching the frame on the passenger side bottom. Side by side, the rads were identical - scrapped the old one already. Is it OK to contact the frame? Should I lift it up a bit? Any ideas -- anyone run into this in replacing radiators? Thanks Tom
maddzz1
When i replaced mine it was a little tight on the passenger side too. But the petcok on the new one was a little different. it empties out toward the fender and the old one emptied toward the engine.
