sinnaevd
I was just wondering, I heard that the comanche unibody/frame were usually pretty decent unless someone really abused it. My question is, where should I be looking on my Manche to see if the frame/unibody is still good? I'm goign to get it sandblasted, but would be kind of pointless if it was badly damaged. 87manche
Floorboard rust out. Check around the steering box for tearing of the sheetmetal. Check right behind the cab, that's where it stops being unibody and starts being a frame, lot's of stress there if someone has overloaded it. Just saw a 90 with the frame broken there. pingpong
and if the frame is messed up, they make perfect trail beaters
sinnaevd
That was the plan in the first place, I'm building one for a trail vehicle, then I will eventually build one for a daily driver, but that will take some time to do, as I will do everything extremely proper. But never the less, I want a vehicle that is still safe, and it must pass a safety befor I can put it on the road, so that way I will only have to trailer it to larger events....like possibly t he badlands one day when everyone goes up.
