mjtjnj
Hey guys, Hey guys- I bought a 16", 1400 CFM "pusher" fan from Advance Auto, along with a programmable relay. Is this enough CFM for a four banger, and would you all recommend installing it as a pusher, in front of the condenser, or reverse the blades an polarity, and have it as a "puller" behind the radiator? Would I need a shroud (the stock one) in either or both cases? If anyone has done this, thanks in advance! Tom

DrThunder
I use that fan in a pulling fashion on my 72 chevelle with a built up 327 and it runs 170 normally, around 185 on 100 degree days at the mcdonald's drive thru. So if that won't keep it cool then you have other issues.
mjtjnj
Thanks, guys. When I went out and measured my shroud, it's actually 18", so I will most likely return the fan I have and get an 18" job, for easier fitment.
