jared Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 you should get it recovered because there is normally some still in there, then to recharge it it would need to be vaccumed down for at least 15 minutes to get rid of moisture in the system. then recharged to the proper amount
BLHTAZ Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Correct...just because the compressor doesn't work doesn't mean that it has no refrigerant in it. The only way the refrigerant gets out is if the system is open...ie; a broken hose.
