Well yesterday the MJ decided it really liked it at the Grocery store. Luckily my brother and his family were eating pizza at the pizza joint next door. It all started when The MJ died on me as I was pulling out of the feed store and it died when i came to a stop to pull out and then it did one of those long cranking episodes. It smelled like gas and it would hit and want to start but acted like it just couldnt catch up. I cranked and cranked and it finally fired up. i drove it to Emily's work and shut it off. Emily came out side i started it no prob. We drove to grocery store and shut it off. Emily went in to the store did some shoppiing and then came out to the truck, it started up no prob. We pulled up to the stop sign and it dies and I crank and crank and then we push it back to a parking spot were i crank on it until the battery starts to fade. I am about to give up and it starts. I pull back up to the stop sign feathering the gas ever so slightly and the SOB dies again. The battery is done at this point I surrender and go eat some pizza. Basically it seems as if it is flooding randomly? sigh We have been driving it for five days with out much problem besides the heater controls not working and I thought I noticed the ac pump kicking on although it was not set to a/c? Someone mentioned fuel return line maybe leaky or clogged?? Things I have replaced: injectors, FPR, ECM, spark plugs, cap and rotor, spark plug wires, fuel filter, IACV and CPS. For details on the truck see my project thread. Any help to get it going so I don't have to trailer it home would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

So 3 weeks ago i bought an 89 comanche short bed 5 speed with 91 thousand miles on it clean frame and good body. I paid 1000 doallars at police auction. I finaly got it home changed the oil and filter, drained the fuel and added new tried to start it, i had no spark. So i started to check things out so far i have replaced the CPS, Coil, Cap, Rotor, Wires and ICM was going to change the plugs but after i pulled one and i looked brand new i decided not to, after all that got it to start, but it would stall while driving. I replaced the the TPS and it was good to go or so i thought. It drove fine for three days. my brother had it on friday and said it ran great, actully better then his 90 cherokee when it was renix (we just swapped in everything from a 95 so i have an extra renix engine and majority of sensors) so saturday i go to drive it and it was running like total garbage and got worse till it stalled. now it starts runs so rough that it seems like i have muitple cylinders missing and there is no throttle input. I checked my fuel pressure its at 38 pounds. I'm going to change the spark plugs to see if maybe i fouled one or mutiple out while trying to get it to start and I'm going to change my fuel filter because i wanted to do it any way. So what should i check after i do the plugs and filter. I'm leaning towards something fuel related because it got so low (less then 1/8th) and i don't know the quality of gas that was in there. As far as service records or any history i don't know any. The only tring i know is that it sat for at least two years at the impound.

88 4.0, auto. I tried some things to get my fuel gauge to work, mostly playing with ground wires and cleaning the big c101 connector above the brake master cylinder, and the engine started idling high, about 2k plus. I let it sit a few hours, came back and cleaned out the throttle body that wasn't dirty, shot some carb cleaner into the vacuum lines, removed and cleaned the TPS and idle switch. idles a little rough but it always has, Still stalls when I press the throttle. It doesn't die completely but it's damn close before it catches up and revs. When it was idling high it was doing the exact same thing it did when I ran it with the EGR disconnected and the port open. It sounded the same, there was an audible sucking sound from the engine bay. I have to suspect the EGR again. If I take off the intake and just have the throttle body open and I pull on the throttle cable, I can hear the EGR briefly, and then the revs pick up. EGR or something different?
