  1. I had a quick question and I'm pretty sure its a stupid question, but here it goes anyways..... my 86 comanche where the spindle goes into the axle housing there seems to be a rusty piece of metal left of what looks like to be a seal I'm not sure if its just a dust seal or what. Its kind of hard to explain without a picture which i will try to get later, but if you follow the ujoint off the wheel towards the center of the axle right where the spindle enters the housing it looks like there are remains of a seal is it a necessity to have that seal in place? there doesnt appear to be any fluid leaking from the axle on either side but both seals are rotted right out... Are they known as inner spindle seals or our spindle seals? thanks for any help in advance.....
