  1. I did it just like you showed and it seems to work good! Thanks again for the tip. Tom
  2. OK, I guess I didn't see a plug. I think I like your solution as it doesn't require me to buy anything but a cheap brass coupling. Thanks alot for the info and the pic! Tom
  3. How did you bleed the slave cylinder? It doesn't appear to have a bleed nipple on it. Thanks, Tom
  4. Ok, so I replaced the Peugeot 2WD trans with a 97 TJ AX15 trans on my 1989 MJ 4.0L and now I need to connect the two hydraulic systems together. The master cylinder from the TJ has a different bolt pattern and the old line from the original setup won't connect to the TJ slave, so what's the best/cheapest/easiest alternative to get this up and going? Is there a slave cylinder available that will bolt to the original line and bolt to the bellhousing? Or do I buy the complete Master cylinder/hose/slave for a 1994 model XJ to work with the external clutch bellhousing and if so will it bolt up to my firewall and clutch pedal? Anyone out there have a good solution? Thanks in advance, Tom
  5. Who make's a good hitch for the rear that fits the SWB 6' bed? Thanks
  6. I found a hidden hitch front 2" receiver #5025 that is listed for the Cherokee and XJ Wagoneer. I assume it will also fit the Comanche. I went ahead and ordered one shipped for $109.99 which seems to be a good price with shipping included. This should also allow me to use a front mounted hitch as well as a good tow point. Still looking for a good rear solution to a recovery point or receiver hitch. Tom
  7. Ok, so I am building up this MJ and want to add tow hook provisions front and rear. Would I be better off using a front receiver hitch or one of the aftermarket tow hook kits out there. Also what's the best way to mount a tow hook in the rear? I have a step bumper now and wonder if there is a receiver hitch available for the SWB 6 foot bed MJ or is there other options for rear tow hook mounts? Any opinions, photos, suggestions, etc. would be helpful. Thanks, Tom
  8. Thanks for the responses. I will try the suggestions and see how it goes. Tom
  9. I just picked up this Comanche about two weeks ago and it has sat for a couple of years. It would not start until I shot some starting fluid into the throttle body and then it fired right up and continued to run just fine. After shutting it off after several minutes it would not start again until I shot starting fluid once again and ran fine again afterward. Could it be a problem with the injectors not squirting during cranking or just old gas or other issue? Any thoughts/ ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom
