  1. With the bruiser axles and trans, that guy probably has more money in that rc truck than I did in my real mj.
  2. My buddies suzuki quadracer fit in the bed of my short bed with just enough room to close the tailgate, I'm not sure about one of these monster utility quads.
  3. I was up to a quart a day before I bypassed the pcv and just vented the valvecover.
  4. The registration is up on my 88 the end of this month. I drove this truck for a year after being given it for free. It is in horrible shape and doesn't run too well, but it starts up everyday no matter how cold it is and gets me to school. The only money I have put into it was a new ignition switch and 1 new wiper(aside from oil and things of that sort). Despite all the horrid things I did to it, holeshots, burnouts, donuts, trails far too narrow, and much mud it just keeps kickin. I don't have the money to insure it and my explorer(far less exciting and fun to drive, but it has intrerior panels and doesn't leak a quart of oil a week), so it's getting the for sale sign after one more thorough flogging. I hope to rejoin your ranks after I finish school and actually have money. This small rot box jeep suprised me and many other people, I haven't even gotten rid of it yet, and I can't wait to buy another.
  5. My truck is leaking oil, bad. It's leaking down the front of the plate that covers the clutch, and it isn't leaking at the head or valve cover. This would leave the rear main seal as the most likely culprit, right? How difficult is it to do a rear main on one of these trucks? I know I'm going to have to drop the transmission and transfer case, but what is involved in actually changing the seal itself? Are there any special tools needed, anything like that?
  6. CWLONGSHOT, that rear bumper is slick, I love it dude. My rear bumper is made of wood, I might gets pics at some point.
  7. The radiator in my truck is pretty much toast. Now, when I first got my truck I was messing around on the internet and found a page that had all the parts listed I needed to swap to a normal radiator, with the cap on the radiator and not just on the bottle. Now that I am can do the swap, I can't find the page. Does anyone know which page I'm talking abpout, or even have some idea of the parts needed? I'm pretty sure it was just a radiator, bottle and hoses from a later model cherokee, but I'm not positive.
  8. I know of at least 8 in the genral around me. A grey shortbed 4x4 with a mild lift, a grey shortbed, a white shortbed 4x4 with a mild lift and hideous gold flairs, a cream colored 4x4, a red 4x4 shortbed that someone who works for the town owns, a red short bed 4x4 with a plow on it, a red shortbed that a guy uses in his landscaping business, and mine. I saw another white one on a back road in a neighboring town, we nearling both crashed staring at one anothers trucks. I only remember seeing a single one before I got mine, and it was the one that is currently mine.
  9. 88 shortbed 4x4 4.0 5 speed wiper motor that doesn't quite get back to park Was given it for free by a wicked cool guy my father knows.
  10. Let me rephrase. The passenger side rocker is pretty much gone. I've never seen an mj in a junkyard. In fact I've only ever seen 5 or 6 of them on the road in my entire life. Seems they weren't so poular in ri.
  11. I have an 88 comanche 4x4 with the 4.0 and a 5 speed. Now my problem is that the rear cab corners and the passenger rocker is on the way out. Aside from that and the bed being a rust pile, the truckis in decent condition. My question is is there a place that makes patch panels for the comanche? I really love this truck and would hate to see it rot away beneath me. And I was planning on putting a flatbed on the truck, so the bed is really of no concern.
