Adjustable MJ Load Sensing Valve

I was checking out the post and was wondering if the rod and rod end need to be LH threads? If so, why? -
Bucket seats?

Thanks, I tried that. I think that a few years ago, I botched a registration using my current email address, so now it will not let me use it.

Is there any way to change my email address for any notifications I may get. I registered under one email address, but life goes on and now I have a new email address.

Anyone had any experience lately with carpet from any of the manufacturers I've seen on the web. Also, will XJ carpet fit my MJ. I want to replace my vinyl flooring with carpet, but not sure which way to go. :dunno:

Refurbishing the Fuel Sender
mj2stay replied to Akula69's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
That's what I would like to know. Are the potentiameters replaceable? I actually have a sending unit with a good potentiamenter that I would like to replace with my current unit. It is from a 23 gallon tank, fueling a 2.8 engine. I have a 23 gallon tank fueling a 2.5 engine. Will the potentiameters interchange? -
Great, thanks a bunch Dave. I'll go to O'Reilys tomorrow. Roy

86' comanche, long wheel base. I need the cable that runs from the e brake split-bracket to the drum brake housing on the passenger side. At this time, I only have the drivers side e brake hooked up. I dsconnected the passenger side cable from the lever inside the drum housing. Does anyone think this is a bad idea?

I think I need to take mine off and check them. The one on the passenger side looks fine, but the one on the drivers side looks wrong, like it's leaning forward a bit. I'll pull it first and check for the "left" I.D. I believe the drivers side would be the left side.

Simple question, are the black vent covers on the cab, drivers side / passenger side oriented? In other words, are they both the same and it doesn't matter which side they go on?

Its an '86 manche. Looking at the pic of that particular sending unit, I don't see where the pump actually attaches to the sending unit. I'm gonna call with questions. Thanks for the link  Roy

While out of town years ago, I had to have the fuel pump replaced by a so called "mechanic". :fs1: Aparently they replaced the sending unit with one from a smaller tank, so my fuel guage does not register correctly. This is a Comanche X, long bed with the big tank. I believe it's 23 gallons. I need is the whole fuel pump sending unit assembly for that tank.

Hydraulic clutch line replacement
mj2stay replied to mj2stay's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah, this is a 1986 manche. The slave cylinder is external, so it's a little easier to get to. I sent rock-auto an email, I hope to hear from them tomorrow. -
Where o' where can I find a new clutch hydraulic line for my 2.5l, 4 speed, mj? My line rusted out at the union joint. The flexable line is 25 years old and I would like to replace it. I've been all over and noone does it or knows where I can get it.

has anyone ever used Bars Leak head gasket fix? Is it a good fix or just more problems?

Manual window won't roll up!
mj2stay replied to mj2stay's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Man, thanks for all the info. Hopefully I will not need to replace that window, just the regulator. I'll probably hit it this weekend. Thanks again. -

That looks like something I can do. I just need to find the correct donor door from a 95 or 96 cherokee, take out and replace. Thanks for the pics, that helps tremendously. One more question, how and where does the glass come in or go out from the door itself? -

I gotta take my door trim completely off to get a better look at this. If this flat piece swings around, can't I re-position it where it should be? So if I decide to replace the whole unit, I need one from preferably a 95 or 96 cherokee, front drivers side door? That spanner wrench looks a whole lot like the tool I use to replace my grinder wheel. I probably need one that adjusts. -

Oh, OK now I see. That doesn't look too complicated. Now I have 2 questions. I can get the manual unit as a whole assembly from a 96 cherokee rear door, same side, right? Also, is the tool for removing the glass a special tool, or is that something I can get from the local auto parts store? -

So my problem is that the regulator isn't catching the snake to be able to crank it up? :hmm:
