  3. Whats up guys I wanted to know how hard is it to swap out the cherokee doors to the comanche? Is it hard? or just alot of adjusting to do?

To be honest woth you my truck didnt even run when I got it and the fuel tank is rusted because of old gas and god knows what elae was in there...but I knew it was the fuel pumo but what I didnt know was the fuel pump were extra pcs attched to the actual unit...i mean I chaned the fuel oumo out of my 99gmc sonoma and figured it was the same and found out later it wasnt and luckily I didnt throw out the sending unit...but lately when I start the truck it shows empty nut once I move gorward or nackwars the needleobes back and forth I cleaned some grounds but no ise yet I figure iys the unit but it sucks that they don't make them amymorr
  5. Lol that was my next question...I mean I have a short bed and maybe the po had swapped the fuel sending unit from a long bed to a short bed...but aren't long bed sending units positioned differently that the short bed tanks?
  6. Hey guys I had bought a new fuel tank and wondered if I got the wrong tank? Or a different fuel sending unit? I bought a 18gallon tank but a little label on my fuel sending unit shows it's a 23.5gallon tank.... But the one I bought was an exact match to the old rusted one... By the way I have. 88 4cyl 2.5 4x4 Thanks any help is useful

That makes sense anout the i6 and d35 but idk I'm curious as to how much valuable the comanche would be with the d44 nut I live in miami comanches don't really hold value alot of people down here favor wranglers more and they see the comanche as just another work truck...sucks but thats life down here but I don't plan to sell my comanche any time soon and its a project on a rise...thanka for the info guys big help
  12. Hey guys I have a question I found a 87comanche with.a.dana 44 rear but I want to know whats is the big commotion for the swap...i mean is it only good for heavy towing? Bigger tires? I mean I.have a 2.5 with 4.11 gears but I want to know more facts why you guys would go.for the swap? Sorry about my spelling still trying to get used to a touch screen phone...thanks Walt

  14. Well I got the gaugr cluster from an 87 4cyl....and I went from a gas gauge to a rpm gauge but everything works except the oil pressure and coolant temp sensor
  15. Also if I have to add new senders where can I place them? And how would I add the connector wires to them?
  16. Hey guys I just got a new instrument cluster for a 884cyl 4x4 and I wanted to see if you guys have the pics of the coolant temperature sensor and oil pressure sensor? and whats the average rpm for the 4cyl?
  17. Do you guys think I could do a sucessful swap of the.fuel tanks? And could you guys lead me to the write up so I can take considerations on swaaping a new tank...it kind of sucks to drive around miami and not know how much fuel I have in my gas tank

I've read over the write ups and it's great info but mainly to custommake something for the floater.....but it does suck that I can't do anything for my truck I finally gottenbit going and now another issue with the fuel gauge when is the Comanche curse is going to STOOOOP! I'd love to have this truck on the road and not worry about anything until anything breaks down....oh well I loved it since I've gotten it just going to keep fighting until I get it right

Well what I did to that connection was cut it and place a new whole cleaned and everthing and its still the same...i mean I know its the sender necause I took out the peixe myself and tried mrssing with the metal contact but I guess when its inside the tank with fuel it floats around and messea with the gauge....i wanted to know if you guys think that I can grab that semaor from a cherokee sending.unit or it has to be from a comanche?

Whats up guys I have a 1988 2.5l 4x4 .....i got a problem with my fuel gauge I dropped the tank and tried fixing the leveler to determined.how much gas the teuck has.but when I add fuel it goes crazy and to find a fuel sending.unit online is even worse do you guys know what can I do? Do you kno f they have a fuel level sensor for these trucks or cab I swap one from a cherokee?

Yes I disconnected it and cleaned it and didn't start alOt of cranking but no starting....I was also reading up on some hard starting combo and tried one that if I press the pedal a little bit and try starting it and it fired right up...sobi adjusted the throttle position and fires up every time I'm going to wait a few hours and try again if it keeps cranking I'll start changing sensors like cps and tps and your right about the wires and connectors and sensors in the meanwhile from paycheck to paycheck I'll add more pcs my next step with theanche is the lift kit thinking about going with the rc 3"lift with a 2"coil spacer up front
  24. I just replaced my vacuum lines and disconnecting the CPs... But I don't want to throw sensors at it...eventhough I plan to keep the truck for a while to keep things new but I would want to find the solution rather than just throwing sensors I mean I work but money is limited to buy each sensors but when I do start what sensors should I start with?
  25. Hey guys I have an 88 2.5 4x4 I have a problem with hard starting when cold. It'll take a few attempts from 10 to 15 secs before it starts up and when it would warm up with wouldn't be a problem to start after warm hut once it cools down it won't start up again.... I've changed the fuel pump fuel tank complete tune up not any sensors yet I don't want tothrow parts at it to see what it is.....do u guys think it can be the fuel pressure regulator not giving the pressure needed to pushthe fuel to the throttle body? please help this a project that I'm trying to get on the road.... Thanks
