Starter Bolts Dimensions Help!
njcomanche1227 replied to njcomanche1227's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i had ordered two bolts from chrysler mopar parts that i thought were the right ones and it did look identical to my original but it was to big and wasnt even close to threading in. The stock bolts were definitely the inverted torx and that why they had fallen out in the first place i never had the tool to tighten them properly f*** torx!! anyways the picture of the two bolts the torx one looks like what i got from chrysler i looks like the length is good but needs a smaller diameter bolt. I work at a local goodyear and they have a bunch of random bolts i took so I'm gunna try to see if i can at least match up the thread count and go from there wish me luck in these sub-zero temps here in nj. -
hey guys i lost both of my starter bolts to my 87 2.5l going up to the mountain to snowboard but i still have my starter that i just bought this summer. I noticed i didnt get new bolts with that starter and i have the manual for my year comanche and nowhere can i find the specs. if i get the dimensions i can go to my local bolt bin and get the bolts but i have no idea what they are any help would be appreciated!

ive actually just fixed a similar problem like this in my 87 2.5l, check your distributor cap and rotor what happened with mine was the cap was letting in moisture and rusted my rotor so the spark was jumping between the plugs and it ran like $#!&. just a suggestion -

Just not sure what sensor it is so i can replace it any info is appreciated thanks!

hey this is my mj , 2.5l 2wd rwd, its stock for now till i get some cash. i bought it for 900$ no rust on the floor already checked and its has 159,075 miles. i was pretty happy with the buy since it runs nice and minimal rust anywhere on it. i hope to do my own paint job soon since i am on a budget probably going black and red.

one bad @$$ comanche nice job man -
on my 87 2.5l 2wd mj the head light knob seems to be disconnected behind in the dash because its recedes into the dash when i try to push it in. This is not a major problem because i can reach my hand up from under the dash and hold the box in place to shut off my lights. But i just wanted to know how to get to it, i took apart the dash a little bit and saw its not so easy. I also wanna know how its held in place normally, like is it just 2 screws or what not? thanks

bench seat for 87 mj
njcomanche1227 replied to njcomanche1227's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yea thats a good point made pete il keep my eyes open -
My mj when i bought it came with two bucket seats but the way the last owner took them out i would need to weld them to the tracks to put them in. Instead ive decided i would prefer a bench seat, is there any bench seats from other model cars that would fit into an 87 mj?
