  1. The interior is mostly done... just waiting on a few parts that need to be replaced. New roof liner has been installed The interior is now mostly black instead of gray.
  2. The interior restoration has begun before dropping the tranny and converting it to 4WD. At first glance I thought that I was going to have to weld new floor boards. As luck would have it... the rust was only superficial.... Fixed the problem with some rust inhibitor. Put down a couple of thick layers of Herculiner.
  3. I scored a practically brand new set of MJ seats for $60 :huh???:
  4. The rockers are finally done.
  5. The temporary wheels (15) and tires (30) have been installed. It's finally beginning to look like a truck
  6. Here is what I came up with for the license plate, the LED will be here on Friday.
  7. I got a chance to install one of the rockers on the MJ today. I'll try to finish it tomorrow and paint them before the end of the week. I guess I'll start on the front bumper next. :ack:
  8. I used 1" button head bolts.
  9. For less than $100, I just finished fabricating my rockers (6 feet long). I also plan on tying them to the pinch seam for additional strength before finally painting them.
  10. I was able to track down the AX15 shifter, so I'm good to go. I plan on dropping the old tranny this coming up weekend and getting the swap started.
  11. Before :ack: After  No more dents on my bed rail.
  12. The new clutch kit, master, slave cylinders have arrived. All I need now is the new shifter since the one from the BA 10/5 will not work with the AX 15. Does anyone have one for sale?
  13. I decided to replace the starter over the weekend, that eliminated the weird noises during start up. :brows: I also started working on my rockers.
  14. Moving this to the proper section. The new axle has been installed.
  15. I also went ahead and fixed the broken breather nipple from my Dana 44, drained and added some fresh fluids.
  16. While I find / buy the additional parts for the tranny swap, I decided to continue working on other areas of the MJ. The bed rail armor has been installed.
  17. I finally got the new tranny and tcase from the trailer into my garage. I also confirmed and it is definitely a 1993 XJ 4.0 AX15 (Serial Number - 53009528). Now I just need to collect the additional parts for it. Can I use any of the parts from my current Peugeot 2 WD tranny (shifter / brackets)?
  18. That looks good..... Nicely done!
  19. Great, that's what I thought.... In that case, I'm picking it up tonight after work. :wrench: Thanks.
  20. I get creative like that from time to time. :clapping: Here is something else that I came up with once I saw how expensive those LED boxes were. LED box for my XJ LED box for my Zuk.
  21. Can anyone tell what this is by looking at the picture? It supposedly came from a 1993 Cherokee?
  22. I stated fabricating a little something for my bed in order to cover up the dents.
  23. New exhaust has been installed. I decided to chop it up and only extend the pipe to the front of the rear tire.
  24. Good to know.... I found an NV 3550 from a 2000 XJ. Looks like I may just have to settle for that one and finish the 4x4 conversion. Thanks for the info.
