  1. By running lights I mean the tail lights on the passenger side. It's a double filament bulb. The brake and turn signal function fine. But the tail light doesn't. I've tried 3 different bulbs the only thing that doesn't work is the passenger side tail light
  2. So my 1990 comanche has a passenger side running light that won't work. All turn signals brake lights work. It's not the bulbs or sockets. What would cause the running light to not work on one side
  3. I knew it wouldn't be as easy as a missing bolt. That's how my luck goes
  4. I found a diagram of a renix 4.0 if its right then the Last bottom is a stud not a bolt. If that's the case then it's not missing its broke off. That's just fantastic I'm betting there's no way to drill that.
  5. The very back bolt on the rear bottom of the manifold does anyone know if that was a bolt or stud from the factory
  6. Yes I will try that first I've tightened all of them except the one that's missing.
  7. Well since one is missing I'm guessing that's where the problem is. I drove it to work today and it did fine for about 25 min. Then it started doing the bucking at 45 to 55. One of these days il take the manifold off and replace the gasket and bolts when I get time
  8. Yes sounds like air intake a low whistle
  9. Another thing I noticed today while I was spraying carb cleaner. If I manually hit the throttle I can hear air sucking in. I looked for a vacuum leak everywhere. It seems like it was coming from around the throttle body. But all the vacuum lines were intact. I could really hear it when would bump the throttle instead of even pressure
  10. Well I sprayed the manifold the best I could again today. It bogs down when I spray to the bolt that's missing. But that's right above the o2 sensor. I'm wondering if it's only bogging down because its getting on the o2 sensor. Would a intake gasket or cracked intake cause the random bucking issue I'm having at 45 to 55.
  11. The best I could there's alot of crap in the way. I may try again today why would it stumble when I sprayed the pipe above the 02 sensor
  12. I sprayed the very front bolt and it stumbled also. It never did die just affected the idle some.
  13. Well finally had a chance to spray carb cleaner on the manifold. It stumbles quite a bit when sprayed on the manifold a little above the 02 sensor. I'm wondering if it's cracked and I can't see it.
  14. Cruiser could the missing intake bolt be causing all the trouble I'm having
  15. I looked the manifold over real good. I couldn't see any cracks. But I did find that the bottom rear bolt of the manifold is gone
  16. I had time to take the jeep on a pretty long drive. The fuel smell is coming out of the exhaust I believe. I couldn't smell anything by the canister. And I noticed while driving there's a tick coming from the driver's side the engine. Almost like a spark knock sound. The more you get on the gas the louder the tick. I'm wondering of I have a intake gasket bad
  17. Ok I will check the hoses on the canister
  18. No I checked that one when I did all your renix tips. It was one on the back of the airbox lid. Still don't know where the fuel smell is coming from on the passenger side
  19. Plugs wires cap rotor and tps are all new. I found that the front and rear upper intake bolts were finger tight. I tightened then and found a vacuum leak. My idle is back to normal again. Still a bad fuel smell after I drive it awhile.
  20. I have tested all sensors and checked for vacuum leaks. I replaced the the tps. I haven't checked the intake manifold bolts
  21. I let it idle in the drive for awhile no fuel smell from exhaust. But I noticed when I put My tachometer on it. It fluctuates between 11and 1300 rpm. Then after driving the truck for awhile it jumps to 1600 rpm idling. If I shut the truck of and let it sit a bit It will idle at 1100 again. I have done all of cruisers renix tips. Nothing seems to help and after driving awhile I start getting a surge feeling at 45 to 55. This truck is a problem child that I can't seem to get figured out
  22. I just got it going good running the first tank through. But I know it wasn't getting the best fuel mileage
  23. No I can't find any signs of a fuel leak. Just a catylitic converter that smells like gas
  24. It's a 4.0 and the truck Is starting to show its age with rust. The charcoal canister is intact. It's a completely stock truck my wife's great grandfather purchased new in 1990
  25. Ok guys even after sitting all night. When you walk up to the jeep all you can smell is fuel underneath. There are no wet spots on drive and no visible leaks that I can find. The only thing is when I put my nose to the catalytic convertor I smell gas. Any ideas what could be going on
