  1. Will check the line per your suggestion. Was told by a friend that the system needs to be bled a lot before it will work correctly, any thoughts on bleeding? I wouldn't think it would be any different than bleeding brakes or any other systems. Thanks all
  2. Came with an "old man" topper when I bought it which I took off as soon as I could. :D here's some pictures of what I have so far. Ive just scratched the surface so keep that in mind. Half Decent side view. Notice the windshield trim is damaged, ive fixed that as I will show later... Also theres no Logos which as a purest, I can't stand. The little rubber trim things are pealing and one little part is missing all together. Here is a little bit better view of the windshield trim and the old man topper on the back. Also shows a failed attempt at tinting the windows. Thats what happens when you buy cheap stuff from walmart. Here is the front after I have added the driving lights, and the JEEP lettering on the hood, which was also missing. Yes, that is gorilla glue on the letters, that I have already cleaned up, and yes I know the bumper needs repaired. Notice the trim around the grill has been painted grey... thats something I am fixing. Jumping ahead to what I have started doing. Bumper is freshly coated, still needs fixed. Trim around the grill is chrome again. Grill itself and trim around headlights is painted black. Painted the black on the hood, will repaint grey as soon as I can find a matching grey. Also you can see a little bit of the fixed and repainted windshield trim. The Jeep lettering has no visible glue, what you see is scratches where I need that grey paint. Also painted wiper arms and the plastic part under the vents that cover the wiper motor. can't see it in this pic but thats all black now. Here is a close up view of the windshield trim to give you an idea of what the color looks like. This was taken before I painted the black accents on the hood. I don't know why I havent taken better pics yet, but I will if anyone shows intrest. here's the rear bumper before I have done anything to it. Its full of scratches and dings and if you look just right it will tell you I drive a Jeep. I plan to do something about the handle, just don't know what yet. Now here is what I have done (So Far) Of course its easy to tell what kind of truck it is now! Recoated the rear bumper and fresh painted all along the back right under the top of the bed. Look close and you will see what I'm talking about. Also the black right above the bumper on each end is wraped around the whole truck's trim. Which you can see in this new side view picture. Notice there is new Comanche logos where they belong. Also painted the mirrors, little side vent things, and around the bed of the truck. :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: I will post more pics if anyone has an interest in my project, otherwise ill probably post them anyway because I'm having way to much fun working on my truck, and all ive done so far is take off the old man topper and buy cheap paint! Thanks for looking, feedback is apperciated!
  3. Eagle, That is brilliant. Thats about the ONLY thing not replaced so far. I can't see anything thats wet from the naked eye but if its small enough to not cause a problem all the time it could be small enough I wouldnt notice. Do I have to drop the tranny to get to where that line connects into the slave? And any chance Autozone would carry the part? Thanks!

  5. Yes, Master has fluid in it. Only ever had to refill when I bled the system right after installing the new master. Otherwise I only ever leaked before I had this local place replace everything inside. Thank you for the reply.
  6. Purchased my 89 Pioneer and when I pulled into the drive way the clutch hits the floor and I'm dead in the water. Turns out theres no fluid in the master cylindar. Got that filled up and nothing, come to find a major leak from the slave. Which of course is internal. So a month or so later when I finally have money to do something about it I called around, got somebody that would fix it, everythings going great, they came out and towed it to there shop and everything. Real happy with there work. Long story short, my baby sat outside for 6 days while they worked on it. Ended up replacing the slave, clutch plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing, all of it inside the tranny. I figured I should do it while it was out so I only had to pay once. Finally got the call saying she was done so I went to pick her up. On the way home I got stuck in the middle of an intersection and could not shift into first to save my life. Took it back to them figuring they screwed something up. They called the next morning said it was done. Come to find out all they did was leave the cap off the master overnight. Months later and I had no problems, out of the blue there it is again, can't shift into gear. With my foot on the clutch as soon as I take my foot of the brake I'm moving, so the clutch isnt disengaging. Took it back to them again and they said it was my master had a very slow leak. At this point I'm so mad at them I would rather have a trained monkey do the work so I elected to take it else where. I ended up doing the master myself yesterday and am having the same problem today. I'm wondering if they screwed something up, maybe put the plate in backwards or bent one of the pressure plate fork things.... I don't know! So here's the problem in detail now that you know the back story. :wall: Heat is the only consistancy, I can go a few minutes or a few months without a problem. It seems when the whole thing gets hot enough, I can't shift any more. I have been stuck countless times in the middle of traffic and the only way to shift is to shut the truck off, shift and start it again. As soon as I let off the brake I move again with the clutch pedal fully pressed. All 5 gears and reverse, but first and second seem to be the hardest to get into. Also ive notice while coming to a stop sign if I can force it into gear you can hear the clutch spinning real fast. I'm at my witts end and can't afford another 600 bucks to drop the transmission but do NOT want to take it back to them again. Any suggestions would be AWESOME!
