  1. I found the noise it was a shot wheel bearing on the passenger side :wrench: good as new
  2. Yeah my 89 MJ had the same noise and i replaced the TB gasket and it fixed the prob :wrench: Did the faulty gasket affect the idle at all? I don't think it effected the idle, it started make the sound and I realized it was the coming from the TB and I removed it and saw the was bad so I changed it. Do you cut your own gaskets or buy them new? I buy new ones, I got a felpro gasket for it
  3. I have already done those steps but I didn't here the noise this is what has me stumped and yes it has new brake pads in front and the rotors are not new but they are still good. :dunno:

  5. The fluid is low but and i have to add some but the sound is like a pad hitting a high stop on a rotor. but i will add fluid tomorrow to see if it goes away but I always thought that the power steering pump sounds like a whining sound when it runs low. :dunno:
  6. No it only stops making the sound when the truck is stopped. it makes the sound louder when you turn also. the sound is a kind of griding sound not a squeal. :dunno: the pad are fairly new, could it be the wheel bearings
  7. I don't Know I think i put standard duralast brake pads
  8. I finally got my truck back on the road and it passed inspection so I have drove it about 50 miles yesterday and last night on my way home it started make a small little sound coming from the front axle that sounds like a brake pad dragging and it got louder and louder. the other thing is i can't tell if it is the right or left side. so today I looked at the rotors on both side and i could not see nothing out of the normal there was no rock or nothing. so I checked my wheel bearings and they where a little loose so i tightened them and drove the truck around the neighborhood and the noise is still there but it sound not as loud but the noise is still there. :fs1: :headpop:  :fs2: :wall: I am tired of f'ing with it I just want to curse and go off road
  9. Yeah my 89 MJ had the same noise and i replaced the TB gasket and it fixed the prob :wrench:
  10. Here is my before and after 4.5" lift pic's Before After
  11. My rear proportioning valve also took a $#!& so I bought a wilwood adjustable proportioning valve to fix the problem It work really good and brake better than ever now with all new brake pads, shoes, proportioning valve, master cylinder, and brake booster :wrench:
  12. I also finally took some pic's of my MJ after I put the 4.5" Rough country lift on it. Here is a side profile of my MJ it sucks it is a total 2" lower in the back than the front because of the old sagging leaf springs in the rear. But that is nothing that a 3" leaf pack's will not fix
  13. Well here is more pic's of the master cylinder and brake booster upgrade
