Bed is off, time to start cutting out the rear frame.

Figured I’d start a thread for this one as well. This is my 89, short bed that lived in FL almost its whole life. Currently stripped down for a thorough cleaning & some new goodies. Will post progress along the way

The rear “frame” section is pretty well shot. Should be no biggie looks like where it meets the cab is solid enough to clean up & weld a new rear half to. Now time to hunt down a rear half before cutting the blue Jeep up

While it does appear to have some "not so great" spots with some rust. Most of it looks to be light enough that it shouldn't be an issue to grind out &or cut out & replace certain sections

Another new project to go along with the 97+ Swapped Comanche. From what I understand it's been through a few different owners now. I'll be finishing it, will take a while, but we'll get it done (Ignore the strap job)

With the way new pickups have been going, wouldn't be surprised if we get a 4ft bed!

@ThatJeepGuy Was unable to send you any messages for some reason. I will be headed to MI to Pick this jeep up on Sunday. Will keep updated posts on the CC for anyone interested in following. Will be about a year before it gets the attention it deserves, as I have another project I'm working on.
