well its been a while since my last post , and i acually was tryin to sell this mj, but thankfully i was able to keep. i traded my brushgaurd for a set of alumium rims that were in really ugly conditiion, after sanding all weekend starting with 220 wet and ending with 1000, wet then some mothers mag polish i got them respectable , i still need to buff one more time now that they are back from tire store, i also traded my 31s for 32 11.50s with another freind front still sit alittle low after lift so 2 in R.E pucks go on tomorrow, plans for near futer are AC bushwacker cutout flares. and locking hubs will keeep updating. here are the befor and afters eric

here's the deal guys i bought a 4.5in rustys suspension, lift for my MJ 3 or 4 months ago, befor i gave them my CC numbers i asked the on an mj how level they sit becuase i can't stand the @$$ end sitting higher than the front, they said the truck will sit good and level win its installed. i get the lift on and the rear is 3.5 inches higher that the front. so i call them to complain, she says her boss said that after 350 miles the springs would settle out and sit level. BS truck still sits high in the rear. so here's my question i have coil spacers for the front but the guy how installed the lift said he really didnt like the bind/fit win he installed them? i need to go at least 2 in higher in the front and I'm not opposed to goin with new coils but would i have to go with longer controlarms? at this point whats goin to be the best way to get the front up? thanks for any help eric

yea i just can't see spending that kinda cash. what doe LP stand for ? sorry for my lack of knowlege. thanks eric

ok let me re-phrase, i want to put a front axle in my MJ that has locking hubs , is close to the factory width, and will line up properly with my transfer case, does this axle exist, in any form? whether its a d44 or any other comprable axle?
-
hi is there a d44 front swap out axle that will work with the stock np231 T-case? meaning if there is what vehicle will i find one in? thanks eric
-
hey guys my question is does someone make a aftermarket air conditioner that would work for a comanche?my jeep doesnt have ac from the factory, and I'm sure its goin to be a real pain in the butt to try to find and install the proper factory parts, someone told me a while back that a company makes a little uinit that would work good , any suggestions would be great . thanks eric

Permenantly. On purpus or theres something wrong?
-
Well i havent accually put it on a lift to check , however in sand i can spin the rear tires with zero sign that the front end was spinning ive also had it on the turnpike at 75mph. I'm goin to put it on my freinds lift wed to try to figure it out.
-
Thats how it feels, however my rear wheels spin free

Ok i need help ,my front axle twist when immaking low speed turns, for example if I'm in the drive thru at mcdonalds and I'm stoped,i let the clutch out and the The front axle rachets and twist ,there may be a locker up front i havent got that far yet, lower control arms are brand new with lift, could this be from sloppy upper control arm bushings?

My fuel pump just took a dump. My wuestion is, do i have to drop the tank? And about how much is a new pump goin to cost?. Thanks eric
-
the rear is high not that i mind it beeing high i just hate a truck that dosent sit level. the kit was bought as a complete 4.5 inch kit the dealer assured me that these kits on a comanche sit level, i really don't care if the front is raised or the rear lowered .,or the front raised a 1 in and the rear lowered 1 in.

i just installed a 4.5in lift with new leaf springs and new coils, and my rearend sits 3 to 3.5 in high if you measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender flare, you also get similar results measuring from level ground to the rocker pannels, the manufacturer says they will settle in the rear in 350 miles , is this an accurat statement or BS? also is there an easy way to either raise the front or lower the back? my installer put the 2 inch pucks on that i had from another build and took them back off becuase of the binding issues. its a lift that is leafs under axle. eric

its goin to be a busy day tomorrow, my lift just came in. 4.5 inch. here are some pics of small progress i made this weekend. i removed the rollbar to fit my new slimline truck box its just 12in wide. put a new stering wheel on the old one was a mess, Eric things to come thurs my 15x 8 aluminum wheels will be in .i will have them put on these 31x10.50s for now til i deside what kind of 33s i want.also will be fabricating a CB mount for the roof of the cab i removed the headlinner so i will prob just weld a bracket up there to keep the CB out of the way. more pics to come.

-
i will be taking mine off this week as soon as my 4.5 in lift comes in, if still intrested, also i just bought ranchos for the front last week before i desided to go with the new lift , they are for a 3 in lift , let me know if intrested in any of these things eric
-
so what is everyone doin when you bust out a tail light housing i can't find a new or used one anywere, i havent tried a XJ one yet but I'm sure you guys have some ideas, i found a fabricator that makes metal ones for the xj, but again not sure how much mods needed to make it work thanks eric

lift springs VS sping over axle?
JEEPER1 replied to JEEPER1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
about 5.5 in, and use will be hunting truck / trail truck . -
wich do you guys suggest? i did a sping over on my yj and really liked it becuase i still had the soft ride from the factory leaf springs, but this will be my first time lifting a MJ so wanted to know what you guys think is the best route? or the pros and cons. thanks Eric
-
so just order stock bushings and hope they work or should i go ahead and order some adjustable control arms that will still work with the new lift, the problem is the bushings are so far gone that the whole front axle rotates an moves all over the place ,i hate to even drive it rite now, so I'm trying to get some bushings in there while i deside what kinda lift i will be doin. eric
