  1. Dang this actually has an AX15 in it... the temptation to pull is strong.
  2. Wish I had space for the bed! It's pretty straight and totally rust free. I'll grab the interior trim pieces. I don't exactly need them, but good to have as spares. If anyone does need them, let me know. I'm debating grabbing the bench. I have buckets that I like, but I'd hate to see this bench get scrapped.
  3. Yes I did grab the VIN. It's an 89. I'll post it in the registry later, if someone doesn't beat me to it.
  4. Moss Landing. Bit of a drive but I got up early and sent it.
  5. Sweet! That's good to hear. I took the day off and ran to the junkyard. They got a comanche in over the weekend. Pulled the front bumper and brackets - it's very straight. Hopefully that's all I'll need to fix this. If anyone needs anything, I'll be here pulling stuff for a little while. Most of the comanche stuff is already gone.
  6. Ah, man. I was really hoping it was just the brackets and not the frame. That's a bummer. Thanks for the help guys.
  7. This might be a stupid question.. but what the heck is going on with my front bumper? I thought someone had cut the bracket to make it sit flush with the grill, but the bracket looks original and unmodified. I'm trying to convert it back to stock. Running to the junkyard tomorrow. Hopefully can pick up a clean XJ bumper. Thank you
  8. Alright, thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll call up some metal shops in the area and see what they can do. S&S did a really great job on GJeep's bumper! It looks like there's a couple of bumper shops closer to me that I'll look into before considering shipping mine. I do agree that my truck doesn't need a perfect restoration bumper. I mainly just want it a little better than it is.

Been eagerly awaiting this! Thanks @jdog!
  10. Thanks guys. Yeah, the auto body guy suggested backing it into a tree as well. I just don't want to tweak it more than it already is or scratch it up. I was hoping to come up with some other idea...
  11. Hmmm.. any advice here? I dropped it off at the body shop and they were able to make it maybe 75% better, but I'd really like to straighten it some more if possible. It looks like a PO tried to tow a little too much weight. Thanks!

Yes! This is absolutely the holy grail for me. I've been searching for a Comanche for years and finally found the one I was looking for. It's even better than I could've imagined! Pictures as promised:

1992 Jeep Comanche 4.0L HO, AX-15 5 speed, 4x4, D30, D44, Short Bed Build date: 01/92 Current Location: Bay Area, CA Status: Running and on the road! Notes: Originally a Bench seat. Now has XJ Buckets. The truck is very original with no rust. No accidents and original paint. According to the carfax, it never left the same small town in CA. Kinda cool options - the truck has a Dana 44 in the rear, which I think is original, and factory AC. Current owner: I just bought it! Very excited. With how rare and original this truck is, I plan on keeping her stock and just enjoying it. I'll upload photos later.
