Hey, I own this Comanche now. Located on St. John in the United States Virgin Island's. Its my daily driver and has gone through some changes.
1989 Jeep Comanche "Rubicon"
Engine: Renix 4.0L / Transmission: NV3550 / Transfer Case: NP241OR (RockTrac) / Font Axle: Dana44 (Tru-Loc) / Rear Axle: Dana44 (Tru-Loc) / Wheelbase: SWB
Current Location: St. John United States Virgin Island's
Status: Daily Driver
Notes: I call it the Rubicon Comanche. I pretty much Tj Rubicon swapped it minus the 4.0L HO and left the RENIX 4.0L in. Exhaust is 2.5" header back no cat. Front brakes and steering have been upgraded with WJ knuckles, Dual piston calipers, High Steer tie-rod bar and OTA Tackbar. Rear brakes are now Single piston caliper disc brakes. Thats pretty much it for the drivetrain. The interior is my next step. Its got Stock interior with a few little changes. R.E.M ll with clock. B&M Sport Shifter and custom B&M transfer case shifter. Full Instrument cluster with chrome gauge trim. Power windows. Tablet stereo. Bucket seats with full console. Gentex 221 rearview mirror with compass, temp, dimming and map lights. The paint was originally Dover Grey but it was repainted before i purchased it. I prefer the new paint which i found out is a Granite Crystal Metallic found on newer jeeps.
cheers!
