  1. I'm not sure. I did a little research and didn't find any information about that number on the ax5 trans.
  2. Thanks for the diagram! I found it. The number is 60110161
  3. Yes, Its a 2.5L. I looked at the transmission and didn't see any identification tag. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.
  4. I know the previous owner did the 4x4 swap and with that a new engine and transmission. The engine's build date code is "008HX22" which I think is August 2000. When it comes to the transmission all I know is that its an AX5.
  5. I ran into a few more issues when reinstalling the center console. The first thing that I noticed was that I had to bend/widen the center console for the screws to line up and screw into the front two mounts. (The one by the t-case shifter and the other by the regular shifter) The second issue I had was that the black insert piece that sits on the main console would no longer sit flush. There is a large gap between the two pieces now. I know these issues are probably due to the truck being a 30+ year old jeep and simply aren't worth fixing, but I though it a little strange.
  6. I'm pretty sure the mount is stock but I know that the transmission was replaced by the previous owner.
  7. I have couple questions regarding the shifter and transmission tunnel. I noticed that the shifter hits the mount for the center console when going into reverse to 5th. The mount looks stock so I'm not sure if this is intentional or not. The second thing that I wasn't sure on was all the sheet metal screws through the transmission tunnel. Not sure why they're there.
  8. Yes, my truck is a manual, thanks for the information!
  9. I'm looking at installing a CB Radio and have found it more difficult to find a mounting location than I anticipated. My MJ has bucket seats with a full center console. I would prefer If I didn't have to drill holes as the interior is in nice condition. Any suggestions?
  10. I just bought my first Comanche and being new to the truck I have a few questions about things I have noticed. To start off, on the rear diff pumpkin there is this strip of metal that looks like it would be a ground to something which is strange considering that its on the diff. There is also a couple plugs under the dash that aren't plugged into anything and appear to have nothing to plug into. Lastly, I have always wondered what the black square is for that sits Infront of the interior door handles on 84-96 XJ's and MJ's. (photos below)
